Well....That didn't work
We've randomly been trying to spoon feed Jacob. He's still a little shy of the four month mark when doctors give it the okay to start food, but if he's ready, what can it hurt? Although he did not spit the cereal back out, he definately did not swallow it. There it sat. In his mouth. Unsure of what to do with it. Unsure of the taste. Unsure of the texture. But he kept a positive attitude through it all.
Okay, he couldn't smile through all of it. Eventually he wanted that stuff out of his mouth!

My Apologies
Okay, this time its not my fault for the lack of blogging. My precious, once happy, almost sleeping through the night, three month old has becoming a whining, screaming, less-happy, waking up three times during the night, teething three month old.
He chews,
and chews,
and chews
on whatever he can grab hold of and get into his mouth. We've been living on tylenol these days. Jacob for the teething, me for the headaches caused by the screaming baby. Not to mention Bree has finally hit the dreaded terrible two's attitude. Its not bad all the time, but when its bad, its BAAAAD! It doesn't help that she knows she's cute. Discipling can be hard when you're dealing with this...

Fathers Day Trip - Take Two
Last weekend we celebrated our second Father's Day with a surprise day trip. I told Bree all about it and in her own words she tried her best to tell her dad where we were going:
In case you didn't catch that, we traveled to Marblehead Ohio to visit the Prehistoric Forest. This attraction opened in 1953 and is closing forever this fall. All the dinosaurs in the forest are hand carved from styrofoam blocks then coated in a poly resin material to make them weather resisitant. It sounded like too unique to not travel the hour and 32 minutes (or two hours and seven minutes in real time with a two year old and three potty breaks) to see before closing its doors. To enter the prehistoric forest you walk through a volcano filled with fosils and human remains as well as a waterfall. As you exit the volcano its as if you've stepped back in time...
