Will she be...?
I think I will add Artist to the list of possible future careers. One day when we were out and about, Bree wanted me to draw her a kitty. I didn't have any paper so I did what I had to do. I drew the kitty on her hand. A bad habit to teach a two year old, I know. So last week when she wanted to draw a kitty on my hand I felt I had no choice so I let her and this is what she drew. I was absolutely amazed. Obviously because I took a picture of it before I washed it off my hand.

Monkey See, Monkey Do - 2
One random Monday morning I was sitting on the living room floor making out my grocery list for the week when I realized the house was just a little too quite. I looked up expecting Bree to be doing who-knows-what that she shouldn't have been but instead found her sitting on the floor across from me making out her own grocery list, just like Momma. If you click on the picture you can see her "words".
Bree reading her grocery list to me.

James Robert!!
James Robert. That was my Dad's favorite nickname for Jim. Generally this nickname would be used whenever Jim would fix something in a manner that Dad wouldn't entirely agree with. Dad would wince, hang his head low so we couldn't see him smiling and shake his head in utter disbelief. To which Jim would simply smile back and innocently say "What?" as if he'd done nothing wrong. "James Robert" would be Dad's only reply.
As many of you know, my couch has been in need of some repair. The fabric and cushions are just fine but a spring or something on the bottom busted resulting in sinking almost to the ground when you sit anywhere on the couch. As any good housewife would do, I've nagged and nagged to my handyman husband to PLEASE fix the couch. He did. But as I discovered exactly how he fixed the problem, I find myself wincing, hanging my head low, shaking my head in utter disbelief. And when Jim innocently said "What? I fixed the couch! If I wouldn't have pointed it out you never would have noticed!!" My only reply was "James Robert!"
Yes, the fabric on the back of the couch is CUT COMPLETELY OFF!! Because otherwise "It would have gotten in my way."
