I've spent the four and a half weeks taking care of sick children and, of course, catching a cold myself. Add that to being pregnant and uncomfortable and you have yourself one sleep deprived Momma. Naturally, as my body craves the one thing I can't give it, sleep is all I see around me.

A neglected blog
A neglected blog does not mean that nothing is happening around here.
In fact, that's quite the opposite.
We've been very busy...being sick.
At any given point since February 8th, one or more of us in this house has been vomiting, had a fever, a belly ache, strep throat, a migraine, a cold, an ear infection or just plain tuckered out from taking care of everyone with above said problems.
Hopefully we're on the mend and regular blogging will resume.

That'll leave a mark
There have been a couple of daredevils living in my house lately.
I cringed on a daily basis.
Sometimes I just closed my eyes and pretend my children aren't knocking on the ER's door.

Ready or Not
ACK!
Can it be true?
Is it time?
Is he ready?
Am I ready?
Is the teacher ready for him?
Ready or not, here he comes!

Thats the way it goes
As a parent, you would do anything for your children.
You stay awake at night holding them when they are sick or scared because of a nightmare.
You zap your coffee or dinner in the microwave numerous times because some kind disaster will undoubtedly happen preventing you from enjoying a hot (the first time) meal.
You go to work everyday to ensure a roof over their heads and food on their plates and work overtime so that they never have to miss out... on anything.
You spend hours on the internet researching trips so that your children will benefit to the max on family vacations.
And what really is the point?
Children will always want what they don't have.
Yeah thats Bree... wearing Jacob's pajamas... so she can be a boy and hang out with the guys on guys night.
We can't win.
Good thing we love them so much.
