I went to the store the yesterday to buy milk and I noticed the date on the carton was stamped May 26th. May 26th?!? How can that be? Thats, like, forever away. Then it hit me. May 26th is only two weeks away and I have not blogged once the entire month. Sorry about that. Time seems to be slipping by faster and faster these days. Work, home, clean, gym, clean, sleep, work, gym, home, clean, sleep, gym, clean, work.... You get the drift. Its hectic.
April New Years Resolutions went as following:
Coupons:
Coupons have become a daily part of my life. Clipping. Sorting. Comparing ads. Purging expired coupons. WAIT A MINUTE!! Don't throw away those coupons you never got around to using. Did you know that people in the army, military and so on can use coupons for up to 90 days past the expiration date?! What a wonderful way to help those who are serving our country. You can google coupons for military and you'll get a wide variety of addresses to send your neglected, unused coupons. Most of them ask you to sort coupons into baggies of edible and non-edible products before mailing them. I even went as far as clipping EVERY coupon I wouldn't use from the inserts and mailed those too.
New Blog
Some of you might have noticed along the left side there is a new button that says Homemade Memories. That is (yet another) blog I've started. Its nothing that will be updated on any kind of regular basis. There is generally a lot of crafting going on in this house and the new blog gives me a way to share it all with you. Maybe it'll spark some creative gene in your body. Feel free to steal ideas and modify them. Just be sure to email me pictures of finished projects!
Box Tops
I was able to give another 52 box tops to the schools this month! That was mostly due to a special at Meijer this month that if you bought 5 pillsbury products (which I had coupons for) you recieved a voucher for the schools worth 20 box tops! Awesome! Now if only I could get better at cutting the Campbell labels for the schools too.
Weigh-Less
As everyone does, whether its written on paper or just a mental note, I too made a New Years resolution to weigh less this year. From January to mid-April I somewhat watched what I ate and tried to get to the gym on a regular basis. But honestly, as any mother of two little ones can vouch, watching what you eat means, eating whatever is laying on the counter or can be eaten as you load the kids into the car to take to the sitters in attempts to get to work on time. And hitting the gym on a regular basis...well that just doesn't happen in real life. Not unless you go to bed at the same time as your children and get up before the birds. Yeah. Thats not happening. Jacob has only been sleeping through the night since March 23rd and my body has still not caught up on the years worth of sleep it was deprived of. So since I wasn't doing myself much good on my own I went back to what I know works. Weight Watchers. Yup, thats right. I joined Weight Watchers (again, for maybe the 9th or 10th time) on April 28th and will *hopefully* be keeping you all up to date on my progress along the way. My first week back (May 5th) I lost 3.6 pounds!
