Both parents with migraine strength headaches leads to an early night for the children.
Unfortunately that also means an early morning for the parents.
Such was the case one wintry day.
With both children up by 7:05am, Jim and I were desperate for a little more time in bed. Innocently we suggested Bree go make breakfast for her and her brother. After hearing drawers opening and closing, chairs scooting across the floor and the fridge door being slammed shut, curiosity got the better of me. Here's what I caught:
Its kind of hard to see between the blurriness of the picture along with the mess on the counter, but Bree had begun making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her and Jake.
Believe it or not, there was more peanut butter on the sandwich than jelly!!
She did a pretty darn good job for her first time. She even remembered the napkins!
Needless to say she's been offering to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner every night since - always peanut butter and jelly of course.
But that was back in December.
We have so moved on from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
She's desperate to learn more.
Not even a burn on her hand that eventually landed us at the doctors office can stop her.
She's on her way to being Chef Bree.
Prayers welcome through this adventure.
