Dinner Date

One day last week Jim was working late so I decided it was time for a Mommy-Daughter dinner date. Where else would I take my daughter out to eat but to Los Mariaches, the local mexican restuarant. I didn't get too many pictures because I spent most of my dining out, bonding time trying to keep Bree from dropping chips or silverware on the floor and attemping to help her get some rice into her mouth instead of down her shirt.

Diving right in.

Yummy Yummy salsa

Maybe it was a little spicy

Wordless Days

There may be a lot of "wordless" posts this week. I have so many pictures to share with all of you but our week is packed and there is very little time to post. So it was either; no blogging at all or just share pictures with you. Enjoy!

Yumm-o

Why do vegetables grown at home always taste so much better than fresh vegetables boughten from the store?

This little tomato grew here, in my garden, in our yard, on this piece of Earth we call our own. I think I'm ready for my farmers cap.

Lets play a game

I will ask the question "Whats wrong with this picture?". Then you scan the picture until you've discovered the weirdness of it. I"ll post the correct answer directly below the picture so don't scroll down too fast. The first one is easy. Lets begin now.

Question: Whats wrong with this picture?

Answer: Notice the baby doll hanging from Jim's behind. He couldn't figure out why Adrienne and I were laughing at him and made him stay still until I took the picture.

Question: Whats wrong with this picture?

Answer: The leaves on our bushes are starting to change color. Remember it is only July. Summer only started 2-3 weeks ago. Whats going on here?

Question: Whats wrong with this picture?

Answer: This is a hydrangea tree and hydrangea trees are not supposed to bloom until early fall. I ask you again What is going on here?!

Question: What is wrong with this picture?

Answer: Its the 4th of July people!! What are we doing wearing coats and covering up with blankets. Where's the 90-100 degree weather?! Where's the sweat that should be pouring off our faces?! At the risk of sounding redundant WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!!

Day 3 of our Holiday weekend

Day 3 of our holiday weekend was the actual 4th of July celebration. Thats means there was lots of:

mac and cheese,

corn-on-the-cob,

watermelon,

thats not right, lets try that again. watermelon,

puppy chow,

and popcorn.

Of course you can't forget the balloons,

lightning bugs (rest in peace little guy),

and fireworks.

**listen to Bree "ooohh-ing" and "aahh-ing" in the background.

Day 2 of our Holiday weekend

Day two of our holiday weekend did not go according to plan. Jim, Bree, Adrienne and I loaded into the car and set off for the zoo but with cars lined up well over a mile long waiting to get into the parking lot meant that we were destined to do other things with our day. We stopped for a quick lunch at Jim's favorite resturant, Ideal Hotdog, and set off for our next destination.

We also stopped at Oak Openings to try to catch a glimpse of animals in the wild but Bree really could not have cared less.

We did manage to find a turtle. Although Bree didn't find this too exciting either as we have two turtles at home.

Our last stop on Friday was a surprise 75th birthday party for (Great) Grandpa Dominique.

Stay tuned for Day 3 coming soon.
