In September 2007, a dark wooden crib was set up in a freshly painted bedroom, awaiting our first born daughter.
A short while later in 2010, the crib was relocated into a separate bedroom to await the arrival of our newborn son.
In the blink of an eye, that same crib found itself back in the first bedroom to hold our newest baby girl.
And now, 8 years and 5 months after first being assembling in our home, it is time to dismantle and retire that well loved piece of furniture as our precious baby girl is no longer so little.
She is ready for her big girl bed.
In moments like this, parenting quotations run rampant through my head but none speaks more truth than:
The days are long but the years are short.
