Newest Landscaping Project/Pudgie Pie Extravagenza

This weekend was Grandma LeBarrs 75th birthday party...

..and the party was held at Aunt Becky and Uncle Jim's which has got to be the most ideal and awesome party house ever built. Just to stress how awesome this house is, Jim said that he would definately consider moving out of Wauseon to move into that house. Makes you really want to see a pictures of it, right? Well too bad because I didn't take pictures of the house. Part of what makes it so nice is the landscaping. So perfectly laid out. Rustic, but cozy. Well manicured but comfortable. So, of course, returning to our house gives us (yes us, not just me) the motivation to do something about our own landscaping.

Behind our shed has become sort of a dump spot of things that need to be cut apart and burned. (i.e. old trim from the bathroom, old door, shelves, etc) This picture was taken after Jim spent almost two hours cutting boards.

Then there is the row of pine trees at the back of our yard. Between being planted too close together and no one ever removing the posts and wire helping them to grow straight and are now part of the tree, the trees are slowly dying and they look horrible. A few years ago Jim cut the bottom 4-5 feet of (dead) branches and started storing firewood between the trees. I've never cared for it but thats because the logs need split and more neatly stacked.

So now our newest landscaping project is to get all those areas cleaned up. We're going to cut more dead branches and eventually the area will look like this...

I know what you are thinking. You're thinking that by cutting away more branches we're losing even more privacy. Why do we want to be that open to the field behind us? Rest assured that we are going to build a rusic type fence behind the trees to
help block the view. And this long story brings me to the...

Pudgie Pie Extravagenza

Since we are going to have an astronomical amount of wood that needs burning we are going to have a Pudgie Pie Extravagenza at our house this Sunday evening at 7:00ish (or whenever Levi's party is over). Every filling imaginable for pizza or hot dog pudgie pies will be available. There will even be options for dessert pies. Anyone and everyone is invited. Just send me an email or leave me a comment if you can make it.
