Christmas

Ahhh...Christmas Eve. After traveling from relatives house to relatives house, it was time to go home to begin our own Christmas celebrations. But first we had to take the traditional picture of the child/children in front of the Christmas tree...

He knows when you are sleeping...

He knows when you're awake...

The budding tradition in our house is opening stockings and one present on Christmas Eve. Then its off to bed so Santa can come. She did a great job waiting patiently for her stocking.

At the time she didn't seem too excited about her toothbrush but now she wants to use it all the time, all day long.

Good thing that stupid ball was practically free since she bit a hole in it before she even went to bed.

Expecting something good...

Hair ties?! Really??!!??

Thats more like it!! FYI - since Daddy is the one who bought the silly string, Daddy is the one who gets to clean it up. :O)

We ended Christmas Eve with a (sort of, kind of) game of Hi-Ho Cherry-o.

Then it was Christmas morning and what a wonderful morning it was. From all the excitement of the day before (and lack of memory that bunches of presents awaited her under the tree), Bree slept in until almost 9:30. If only Christmas mornings of the future would start out that way. But I know by next year we'll be waking up before the birds to open presents.

My new Rachael Ray pans came in pretty handy that morning.

Jim attempting to teach her how to fish with her new puzzle. Gotta start getting ready for the summer, right?

And Bree's way of fishing. Much, much easier.

Yummy Christmas breakfast of homemade hash browns and scrambled eggs eaten on her new tray while watching the parade on tv. Can life get any better?

I have a feeling we'll need to be buying her a new magnadoodle before the new year is done.

  1. That's the same tradition we have! Stocking and one present on Christmas Eve. Weird! Anyway, looks like Bree had fun, and yes, enjoy her sleeping in now on Christmas. It won't last long!
