Full Circle

About this time last year, I was attempting to work on my first project in my new craft space:

I eventually got three festive Peeps made.

And proudly displayed them in my landscaping.

But three peeps aren't enough.  Not nearly.
That gave me an idea for this year...

Of course the hubby helped with it.

But it was the children's job to bring it to life.

See, my kids naturally are interested in whatever project I am currently working on and want to help.  But you can't just jump into advance stage projects.

You have to start at the beginning, practice, practice, practice, and some day move on to more and more challenging things.

And that's what this Peep project was about.  Starting at the beginning.

Learning how to paint a base coat, light sanding, second and third coats if necessary.

But more importantly, the moral of this story is learning how to complete a project.

From start to finish - this is your project, your art, your creation.  Take your time.  Be proud of your work.

And that I think they were.

Welcome to my yard, Peeps!
