Summer Fun - Week Seven

Week 7 of Summer Fun started out great!  We got up, had breakfast, made the grocery list, and then I was off to take care of my mom and hit the stores while Jim and the kids worked on the zipline tower.

At some point while I was at Wal-Mart, things went downhill quickly.

A small but big enough fall off a swing onto a 5-gallon bucket face first will put a damper on anyone's day.

Holly didn't eat very well in the beginning but Daddy knows how to make everything better.

Well, Daddy and a new ice cream toy from Wal-Mart helped too.

Welcome the newest member to the glasses club.  Right now they are only for classroom or distance seeing, but soon enough she'll have to be in the full time.  I can feel it now.

Week seven also brought the end of Bree's baseball season.

In the midst of a crazy busy, way too many late nights, not enough naps summer comes the right to be a little bit lazy.  You want the 12 taco pack from Taco Bell where I don't have to get out of my car or even change out of my jammies?  As you wish.

We bought the movie 'Sing' and Holly had a great time dancing to the credits.

The Harry Potter read-aloud kind of fizzled out.  Although Jacob was interested in it and was truly paying attention, it just takes a lot to read those long chapters out loud.  I had the book on CD but with Bree reading at any chance she could, we had more fights over the CD player than it was worth.  Plan B!  The Imaginary Veterinary Series.

In the first child free moments of my summer, I sped as fast as I legally could to JoAnn Fabrics to buy the material for three Christmas presents.

And the week ended as most summer weekends should.
With family and camping.
