Awards

Today was awards day at school.  Both Bree and Jake excelled beyond expectations and they deserve a moment to be recognized.

First Bree.

Today Bree was recognized for having an 'A' in Reading, 'A' in Science, 'A' in Social Studies, and 'A' in Math for the second semester with an overall 'A-B' Honor Roll achievement. She earned a Math Growth Award for showing 1.5 or more years of academic growth in math and an Homework Award for completing all homework in the second semester.  She also earned the Hard Work Award.  But her overall pride and joy, her crowning achievement is her Accelerated Reader Award Trophies.  Bree blew past earning 100 points, 200 points, 300 points, 400 points, 500 points, ending the year with a grand total of 524.4 AR Points for the whole year!  Awesome job, Bree.

 Then comes Jacob.

Jacob had quite the successful year too.  This year he was awarded the Citizenship Award (always following rules and being courteous to others including outside the classroom, on the playground, etc), passing 100 addition facts in 5 minutes, passing 100 subtraction facts in 5 minutes, passing 100 mixed addition/subtraction facts in 5 minutes, Reading Award, Spelling Bee Homework (completing all assigned homework on time), and Perfect Attendance Award for the 1st semester.  The award I'm the most proud of (and he even earned a Pride Award last year for this too) is the Handwriting Award!  Awesome year, Jake!

Now its time for a little R&R on vacation and then back at it - a little bit anyways.  Mama has something up her sleeve to keep those skills sharp during the summer.
